Eligibility
How do I know if I have a claim?
Run the two minute check. It looks at your route, your dates and what happened, then shows which rules may apply and what they can pay. It is a preliminary answer, and our team confirms everything before the claim goes out.
How far back can I claim?
It depends on where the claim is brought. Some jurisdictions allow claims going back several years. When you submit your flight we check the applicable time limit for that route before anything is filed.
My delay was under 3 hours. Is it worth checking?
Usually the flat compensation rules need a 3 hour arrival delay. But if a shorter delay caused real documented costs on an international trip, the Montreal Convention can still cover those losses. When in doubt, submit it and a person will look.
What if the airline blamed the weather?
Airlines do not owe compensation for genuine extraordinary circumstances like severe weather or air traffic control orders. But airlines sometimes use that label loosely. We check what actually happened to the aircraft and route before accepting a no.
Can I claim for my whole family?
Yes. Compensation under the flat-rate rules is per passenger, including children with a paid seat. Submit one claim and list everyone who was on the booking.
I did not fly. Can I claim for my child, or for someone I booked for?
Compensation belongs to the passenger, so an adult who flew signs their own authorization. If you booked or paid for them, start the claim in the passenger's name or add them as a co-passenger and we send them their own signing link. For a child who flew without you, or a passenger who cannot sign for themselves, email or call us before you file: a parent or guardian can act for them, and we take that claim by hand so the authorization names the right person.
The airline already offered me a voucher. Can I still claim?
Often yes. A meal voucher or a small goodwill voucher does not normally replace what the rules owe you. If you accepted a voucher explicitly in place of compensation, tell us and we will review what is still open.
Fees
What does this cost me?
Nothing up front and nothing if we do not recover money. Our standard fee is 30% of the compensation we recover. If a claim needs legal escalation through one of our partner law firms, the total fee can rise to 50%, and we tell you before that step is taken so you can decide. One thing to know: while your claim is with us, do not settle separately with the airline. You can also bring the claim yourself, directly with the airline, at no cost. Nobody needs a service like ours; people use one because the follow-up is the hard part.
So what do I actually receive?
The compensation recovered minus the agreed fee. If nothing is recovered, you owe nothing.
Process
What happens after I submit?
You get a confirmation email with your reference number as soon as your claim is in. Then we review it, confirm what applies, and may ask for supporting documents. From there we submit to the airline and handle every response. If the airline refuses a valid claim, qualifying cases can be escalated through our partner law firms. When money is recovered, you get paid.
How do I know what is happening with my claim?
We email you whenever your claim moves to a new stage, and whenever our team posts an update for you. You can also look it up yourself any time on the Track My Claim page with your reference number and the email address you used. And if you filed more than one claim, sign in to your account with that same email address: there is no password, a code goes to the address instead, and every claim filed under it is there with its stage, its signatures, and a line to the team.
How long does a claim take?
It varies too much to promise a number. Some airlines settle quickly, others drag their feet, and legal escalation adds time. We pursue every claim as efficiently as the airline allows and keep you posted at each stage.
Will I have to talk to the airline?
No. That is the point of us. We handle the forms, the letters and the back and forth. If the airline contacts you directly, forward it to us and we take it from there.
Can I change my mind after I submit?
Yes. Email us and we will withdraw the claim, any time before compensation is recovered or a settlement is agreed. If you pull out after the airline has already offered or paid because of our work, or after a legal escalation you approved has started, the agreed fee applies to whatever is recovered. Nothing else is owed.
Do I need a lawyer?
Most claims never need one. When legal action is the right move, we work with partner law firms in Europe who litigate passenger claims, and we ask you before any escalation.
What if I am not happy with something?
Email or call us and say so. Complaints go to the founders, not a queue. The contact page has every way to reach us.
Documents
What documents do I need?
Your booking confirmation or ticket and, if you have it, the boarding pass. For baggage claims, the airline report and receipts for what you had to buy. Do not worry if something is missing. Submit what you have and we will tell you if anything else is needed.
I lost my boarding pass. Is that a problem?
Usually not. The booking reference and your ID details are normally enough to verify you were on the flight.
Payment
How do I get paid?
Bank transfer, check or PayPal, whatever suits you. We confirm the payout method with you when the money comes in.
Your information
Is my information safe?
We collect only what the claim needs, use it only to pursue your claim, and never sell it. Documents are stored securely and payment details are taken only when there is money to send you. The privacy policy spells all of this out.
